LeRoy C. Suhr, 78 of Mauston passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at his home of a heart attack.

LeRoy was born in La Crosse, WI the son of Antone and Eva (Hams) Suhr on October 17, 1935.

He joined the National Guard when he was 17 and in 1957 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Texas, North Dakota, Colorado, Missouri and finally in Alaska. Le Roy was a very independent. He had a wagon that he pulled all over town collecting aluminum cans. One day he pulled it all the way to Elroy. LeRoy loved animals, football, baseball and dancing. He loved to joke around and tease people. He had many friends who he loved. He will be greatly missed. God loves you Lee!

He is survived by his sisters, Edith, Elnora and Ada, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Le Roy was preceded in death by his parents Antone and Eva, his grandparents Edgar and Ada, eight brothers, and four sisters. He was also preceded in death his wife Janet, the love of his life.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Church of the Nazarene, Mauston where friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.

Burial will be at the Mauston Cemetery will military honors.
