Larry J Miller

Larry J. Miller, 61, of Muscoda died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at his home. He was born March 9, 1951 in Muscoda the son of Robert L. and Martha (Sobek) Miller. LJ graduated from Riverdale High School in 1969. He enlisted in the US Marine Corp serving 1969-1973. LJ returned to the family farm in Muscoda and started bartending at the Junction Bar and the Red Rooster. He owned and operated the Muscoda Drive Inn, LJs, and LJs River Inn. On September 10, 1983 LJ married Cheryl Pieper in Fox Point. LJ served as the Muscoda Village President and on Muscoda Village Board for many years. He started the Muscoda Dart Tournament as a fund raisers for the JCs. LJ was a member for the Muscoda American Legion Post 85.

LJ is survived by his wife Cheryl of Muscoda, two sons, Bobby (fiancé Christa Serkowski) Miller of Muskego, JJ Miller of Muscoda, sister, Catherine Eberle of Milwaukee, brother, Jim Miller of Muscoda, brother and sister-in-laws, Sue (Rich) Heimerl of Evergreen, CO, Robert (Ellen) Pieper of Glen Ellyn, IL, Diane (John) Hurley of Downers Grove, IL, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

LJ was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, sister-in-law Dawn, brother-in-law Jack Eberle, and Charles and Lois Pieper.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home in Muscoda, with Father Peter Auer officiating. Burial will follow in the Dawson Cemetery, where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Muscoda American Post 85. Friend may call at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Sunday from 12:00 AM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.
