Kenneth J. Stolarik, age 81, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017.
He was born on August 10, 1935, in North Chicago, IL, to John and Florence Stolarik. He was the oldest of 11 children.
Ken was proud to be a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army as a paratrooper.
After he got out of the Army, Ken started his career with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in North Chicago in 1958 and worked there until 1979, when he was transferred to Sun Prairie until his retirement.
Ken was in the Knights of Columbus for 20 years at St. Anastasia in Waukegan, IL, and then a member of St. Olaf’s No. 6460 in DeForest, where he was a 4th degree member.
He was an avid fisherman and golfer, and enjoyed bowling, making things with the tools in his workshop, which were more organized than a hardware store, tending to his meticulous lawn and gardening, and playing euchre with his buddies. He enjoyed going to Okeechobee, FL for 3 months every year to soak up the sun and golf with his senior league.
Ken is survived by his wife, Nancy (Trobec) of 57 years; three children, Bryan (Toni) Stolarik of McFarland, Joy (Eric) Ihland of Windsor and Eileen Spahn (Korey Klagos) of Windsor; six grandchildren, Tyler (Brittany) Stolarik of Madison, Kalyn (James) Moodie of Milwaukie, OR., Anna Ihland, Joey Spahn, Andy Ihland, and Matthew Spahn, all of Windsor; and one great grandson, Beckett Kenneth Stolarik.
