Kenneth C. Clements

Kenneth C. Clements, age 86, died at Gundersen Health System on November 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from heart failure.

He was born on September 19, 1927 in Viroqua, Wisconsin to Nick and Guida Clements. He graduated from Viroqua High School in 1945 and was drafted into the Army. He married Mary Lou Schelling on November 2, 1951.

He and Mary Lou lived in La Crosse, WI for 21 years where he owned and operated a grocery store and worked at Norplex. They moved to Tomahawk, WI in 1972 where they owned and operated Cedarwood Resort for 30 years before retiring. They lived on a lake where he enjoyed boating and fishing. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing pool. They moved back to La Crosse in July of this year to be close to family. Ken will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his ability to make everyone feel special.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou; sister, Mary Myhre (Chaseburg, WI); cousins, Joan Ross (La Crosse, WI), Roger Clements (Sparta, WI), Ralph Clements (Fox Lake, WI), Neva Goglio (Madison, WI), Helen Louison (Rapid City, SD); brother-in-law, Ivan Hansen (King of Prussia, PA); nieces and nephews, David Myhre (Madison, WI); Diane Russell (Aurora, IL); James Myhre (La Crosse, WI), Michael Myhre (La Crosse, WI), Janet Litman (La Crosse, WI); eight great nieces and nephews; and two great, great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Guida Clements, two brothers, Russell and Nick, Jr., and brother-in-law Roy Myhre.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Vosseteig Funeral Home, 123 West Decker Street (Hwy 56), Viroqua, WI 54665. Burial will follow at Viroqua Cemetery, 429 Hickory Street, Viroqua, WI. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. till the time of service at 11.
