Kal DeLap

Kal Jeffrey DeLap, 66, of Viroqua was born June 14, 1947 in Viroqua, Wisconsin to Karl & Jeannette DeLap. He lived most of his life in Viroqua, WI and Oceanside, CA. He served four years in the United States Marine Corps and had two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed his career as a steam fitter. He looked forward to visits from his daughters and grandchildren. He passed away Friday, October 25, 2013.

He is survived by his mother, Jeannette DeLap of Lake Mills, WI; two daughters: Nicole (Larry) Hernandez and Courtney (Peter) Pickslay of Vista, CA. Five grandchildren: Kate, Olivia, and Charlotte Hernandez, and Scott and Bruce Pickslay. One brother, Jerry (Diane) DeLap of Viroqua, WI; one sister, Jan (Jeff) Amundson of Lake Mills, WI; nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Karl DeLap.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Vosseteig-Larson Funeral Home, 123 W. Decker St., (Hwy. 56) in Viroqua. Pastor Don Greven will officiate with burial and Military Honors in the Viroqua Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers and plants memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
