MADISON-June A. McNally, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on June 20, 1926, in Buckner, Mo., the daughter of Ora Edgar and Stella (Gilbert) Hamilton. She married F.E. “Mac” McNally on Jan. 15, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo. They raised their family in Baraboo and Madison. After retirement, they resided in Joplin, Mo., before returning to Madison. June worked for the Dane County Register of Deeds in Madison for 24 years before retiring in 1986. She enjoyed spending time with family and traveling with Mac in their motorhome after retirement.
June is survived by two children, Ed (Pam) McNally and Kathlyn (Michael) Steele; five grandchildren, Sara (Jason) Mooney, Megan (Richard) Anderson, Kate (Mitch) Louther, Garrett (Jamie Nelson) McNally and Beth (Erek) Kucher; six great-grandchildren, Riley, Brady, Liam, Ella, Finn, Macey and two on the way; brother, Frank Hamilton; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, John (Jessie) Hamilton, Mary Hamilton, Margaret (Earl) Hill and Edna (Harvey) Clouse.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, with the Rev. Margo Martens from Bethel Lutheran Church where June was a member presiding. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
