Juel C. Arnevik

JANESVILLE--- Juel C. Arnevik, age 84, of Janesville, died on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, with his family by his side.

He was born in Barron, WI, on Dec. 30, 1928, the son of Garfield and Nina Pearl (Blyton) Arnevik. He graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1946, and married Leatha "Lee" M. Grensing in Rice Lake on July 2, 1949. She preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 2004. He was the store manager for J.M. Bostwicks. Juel and Lee owned and operated Lee's Attic Consignment shop and he later managed Keefe Realty. He had been a member of First Lutheran Church, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was well known for his great sense of humor and he enjoyed entertaining family and friends with creative stories. Juel had a very kind spirit and would help anyone in need.

Juel is survived by his 4 children: Lynda Cary of Janesville, Gary (Joann) Arnevik of Maplewood, MN, Susan (Michael) Ballmer of Janesville, and Julie (Michael) Frank of Janesville; 5 grandchildren: Erica (John) Ryan of Woodbury, MN, Christopher (Amy) Frank of Janesville, Paul (Christina) Arnevik of Minneapolis, MN, Jennifer (Roger) Higbee of Janesville and Ian (Deanna) Feggestad of Clinton; 9 great grandchildren; 2 siblings, Raymond (Jean) Arnevik of Rice Lake and Patricia (Rob) Thompson of Grafton; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip (Sue) Arnevik.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Naomi Garber officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.

The family would like to thank Mercy Hospital, St. Elizabeth Manor, Rock Haven Nursing Home, and Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. for all the loving care they gave Juel and the support given to the family.
