Joycelyn Wright age 82, passed away in her favorite chair on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the At Home Again Assisted Living in Columbus. She was born on September 23, 1931 in Phoenix City, AL to Julian and Willie (Seay) Hurley. Joycelyn was married to William G. Wright on February 6, 1953 in Phoenix City, AL.
She was employed at the Columbus Community Hospital for 10 years in housekeeping and worked seasonally at the Wisconsin Cheeseman, Sun Prairie. She was active in VFW functions and supported the Okeeg Cemetery Association. Joycelyn enjoyed reading and word searches. She looked forward to her monthly lunches with friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Sarah (Darwin) Limberg of Beaver Dam; four sons, Ron (Kathy) of De Forest, Randy (Debby) of Stoughton, David (Pam) of Janesville, Bill (Mary) of Owattona, MN; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Kayla, Mitch, Allie, Morgan, Alec Wright, Robin (Rick Frank) Peeler, Shawn (Krissy Ebner) Limberg, Kyle (Lindsey) Chrostowski; five great grandchildren, Steven, Kayleigh, Kyle Jr., Alonna, Joseph; one sister, Emma Hinseley of Newnan, GA; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill in 1999; a sister, Betty; one son, Tom.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the COLUMBUS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Columbus. Pastor Jim Cotter will officiate.
Interment will be in Okeeg Cemetery, Danville. Memorials may be directed to the Okeeg Cemetery Association.
