HENDERSONVILLE, TENN.- Joseph L. Hinrichs, age 82, of Hendersonville, Tenn., where he resided since 1977, passed away August 9, 2013. He was born to the late Joseph and Anna Hinrichs in Madison on April 30, 1931.
Joseph was a man of faith who was a devoted Catholic. As a young man he served our country in the Korean War and also served a tour in Japan while being enlisted in the Army. He retired from Oscar Mayer as a Credit Manager after 30 years. Throughout his life he was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bird watching, traveling, gardening and he was a gifted craftsman of wood. He had a talent for being able to do anything he put his mind to. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia A. (Blankenship) Hinrichs; children, Joseph M. (Julie) Hinrichs, and Kathleen (William) Pond; grandchildren, David (Liz) Pond, Danielle (Cullen) Lantz, Joseph and Jenny Hinrichs.
