John H. Uschan, age 67, of Janesville, died on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He was born in Mondovi on May 2, 1947, the son of George I. and Mathilda "Tillie" (Pickler) Uschan. He married Linda Phillips in Janesville on Aug. 27, 1966. John retired from General Motors after 41.1 years, and was a member of the UAW Local 95. He enjoyed hunting, sports, family vacations, was a Colt's fan, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Uschan; 3 children: Dan (Tammy) Uschan of Janesville, Kelly (Steve) Errthum of Monticello and Shawn Uschan of Janesville; 4 grandchildren: Tyler Uschan, Danyel Uschan, Jonathan Errthum and Mackenzie Errthum; 1 great grandson, Kade Hilden (mother, Alexis Hilden); 5 siblings: George (Shirley) Uschan of Hayward, Sharon (Larry) Rhyner of Janesville, Karen Quint of Janesville, Charlotte (Pat) Farritor of Marathon, FL and Jim (Brenda) Uschan of Mondovi; and close friend, Jeff Kerl of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Msgr. Donn Heiar officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
