Madison-John "Jack" Hoene passed away peacefully on July 31, 2014 at St. Mary's Care Center at the age of 72.

He was the son of Alvin and Margaret Hoene of Madison. Jack attended Madison East High School. He joined the army serving in the 169 Army Engineers Corps. He served his country both at home and abroad. Before retirement, Jack worked in the construction and manufacturing industries. Jack enjoyed fishing, NASCAR races, country music, playing cards, Bingo, Gardening, feeding the birds, community events and bowling. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. Jack was a good and kind person. He was his own man.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Hoene, Madison; brothers, Tim (Peggy) Hoene, Black Earth, Ed (Tanya) Hoene, Rio, Jeff (Sandy) Hoene, Muscoda. Neices, Rebecca (Kyle) Wallace, Emily (Jason) Scott, Tereasa Hoene, Heather Hoene, Vivian Hoene; Nephews, Steven Hoene, David Hoene.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, a brother, Stephen Hoene and a nephew, Mitch Hoene.

"Jack although unseen, you are always near, still loved, still missed and still very dear." We love you, your family.

The family would like to thank St. Mary's Care Center staff especially the Yahara living unit. The family is especially grateful to the staff for the touching procession that celebrated Jack's life. Special thank you to Bobbi, Jackie, Anne, Shannon, Julie and all others not named. The family would also like to thank the Home Health Hospice staff.

A private family memorial and burial will be held at a later date.
