MADISON -

Jim “Himee” Lee, age 60, of Madison, passed away after a long illness on Friday, May 17, 2013, in Madison.

He was born on Nov. 24, 1952, son of Vern A. Lee and Helen (Scott) Lee. He married Kathleen Lazar in 1978. Jim graduated from Madison East High School and attended Oshkosh for general studies. He liked fishing, shooting pool, bowling, and gambling. Jim was also an avid Packers, Badgers, and NASCAR fan. Most of all, he loved and cherished his wife, Kathleen. Jim and Kathleen were inseparable and had a one-of-a-kind love. He was a member of the Laborer's Local No. 464 and Grieg social club. Jim enjoyed life to the fullest including his adventures gold mining in California.

He is survived by his brother, Gary Lee, and significant other, Shirley Adams; and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen (Lazar) Lee; and brother, Ron.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, with the Rev. Bernt Tweit presiding.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013.

Burial will be at Sacred Heart in Sun Prairie immediately following service.
