Jane Dederich (born July 7, 1960) found eternal peace on October 20, 2013, following a tragic car accident.
A devoted wife of 14 yrs to Daniel Dederich and loving mother to Zach (13) and Jadyn (9). Jane was the daughter of Robert J. Priebe, Sr. and Mercedes (Sadie) Priebe.
She was employed with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for 34 years – and never had a bad driver’s license photo. She worked in several departments over her career and made many lasting friends.
Jane was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, Packers, Badgers – but nothing topped her love of cheering at her children’s sporting events. Janes’ world began with the birth of her children. Always ready to share the kids latest accomplishment and challenges with friends and family. She loved camping and time at the lake with family and friends.
She was always going somewhere and, as her friends knew, always game for an adventure. She loved to laugh at herself – always a good sport. She was a cheap date, as she could make a soda last 3 days.
Jane brought joy to all she met. Her extraordinairly generous and caring nature touched everyone she knew. The first to support a friend in need or cheer your accomplishment. Charity drives at the office, rescue animals and old or infirm animals that were difficult to place always found a loving home at Jane’s. She was unwaiveringly loyal -- once Jane had taken-up your cause, you could never shake her. Her fiercely compassionate presence and tireless support of her friends makes her loss that much more acute
She is also survived by a brother, Bob Priebe Jr., of Bradenton, Fla., a sister, Carrie (Paul) Podehl, of Madison, and a brother, Jim (LeAnn) Priebe, of Plano, Texas; brothers and sisters-in law, Linda (Dick) Frey, Sandye (Al) Wildenberg, Dick (Janice) Dederich, Bob (Barb) Dederich, Denny (Bonnie) Dederich, Marie (Tim) Cairns, Doug (Paula) Dederich, Jerry Kadell, many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends who will miss her. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Priebe and a sister-in-law, Alyce Kadell.
To paraphrase It’s A Wonderful Life, our wife, mother, sister & friend was the richest woman in town, as she gave freely of herself to everyone and always had more to give.
