DeForest-James "Jim" A. Baerwolf, age 74, passed away on August 3, 2014.
He was born on October 24, 1939 to Alvin E. and Marie B. (Ohm) Baerwolf. Jim graduated from DeForest High School in 1957. In 1962, he enlisted in the US Army. He served in the 35th Artillery in Germany from 1962-64. Upon returning home he studied aeronautics at Embry Riddle School of Aeronautics in Daytona Beach FL where he made the Dean's list and was president of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Jim eventually returned to DeForest to continue farming while working for the airline industries as a domestic and international flight engineer. After a long career, he retired in 2010 from Arrow Airways. He served as the Quarter Master of VFW Post 84-83. Jim enjoyed all forms of music, and played many musical instruments, he was also a life-time member of North Windsor United Methodist Church.
Jim is survived by his sons Jason and Ryan Baerwolf. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at NORTH WINDSOR UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 7523 S. Meixner Road at 12:00 p.m. with visitation at Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Meixner Cemetery.
