COTTAGE GROVE-James “Jimmy” Foley, Jr., age 45, of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at home, due to natural causes.

He was born on Feb. 17, 1968, in Park Falls, Wis., the son of Jim and Joyce Foley. He married Amy Rindfleisch on June 8, 1996, in Park Falls. Jimmy left a large footprint during his short time on earth, building deep friendships everywhere he went. He loved golf, the Wisconsin Badgers, the outdoors and most of all, his family. Jimmy was a great man and will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on forever.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Joyce; his wife, Amy; daughter, Belle; son, Jack; siblings, Karen (Joe), Linda, Laurie (Don), Elmer (Jean), Billy (Julie); brothers-in-law, Patrick (Jennifer) and Tim; sister-in-law, Katie (Neel); father and mother-in-law, Mike and Betsy; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher; grandmas, Clara Laverne and Shelley; and grandpas, Elmer and William.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd, Madison, at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Full military honors will be held after the mass.In Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Monona State Bank on behalf of Jimmy’s family.
