Helen was born on June 3, 1921 in Big Spring, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Fred and Agnes (Grabarski) Richter. She lived in Big Spring all her life. She married Roger Milligan on June 4, 1952 and they spent 61 wonderful years together. She was a teacher with the Wisconsin Dells School District for a period of over 25 years. Second grade being her favorite to teach. Even to this day, she always remembered her students by name whenever she saw them. She was a member with the United Presbyterian Church in the Dells for more than 75years. She and Roger were married there. They were the oldest living married members up until her death. She took part on many church boards and was an Elder in the church as well. On a more personal note...Helen was an animal lover and a staunch supporter of the Humane Society. All of her pets were adopted through one source or another. Her animals were near and dear to her heart, especially her current dog Buddy, who was her pride and joy. She loved to travel, making many trips to Canada with her family. Florida was also a favorite spot for the years her daughter lived there. Going out with Roger was her favorite pastime. Eating out at a favorite restaurant and socializing with friends was an important part of her daily routine.

She was a wonderful wife and mother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Helen is survived by her loving husband, Roger and her daughter Roganne “Roj” Rosen of Lake Delton, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lorraine Luettgerodt.
