Hazel Marie Hildreth, age 91 of Freeport, IL, formerly of Dodgeville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Provena Nursing Home in Freeport.

The former Hazel Rundle was born on June 10, 1922, on a farm near Dodgeville, to William and Vera (Lutes) Rundle. She attended North Survey Country School near Dodgeville.. Hazel married William Hildreth on June 10, 1941. The couple farmed near Dodgeville until 1971. William preceded her in death on June 25, 1984. Hazel then worked as a CNA at Grassy Home and loved to babysit. Hazel enjoyed crocheting baby dresses for relatives and friends babies and making hand embroidered baby blankets for every baby she knew. She also enjoyed working word find books, watching the Badgers and Green Bay Packers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was truly a special wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Timothy Hubbard; four brothers, Robert, Ronald, Gordon and Mervin Rundle and three sisters, Ruth Luxem, Melva Rasmussen and Wilma Alt.

Hazel is survived by a son, Donald J. (Carol) Hildreth of Fort Worth, TX; two daughters, Donna M. (Frank) Knackstedt of Pontiac, IL and Beverly (Leroy) Dionne of McConnell, IL; 16 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren, with three more on the way; three sisters, Irene Daniels of Madison and Ella Quire and Jean Polkinghorn, both of Mineral Point as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 19, 2013 at Abundant Life Christian Center in Dodgeville. Pastor Wayne Kennedy will officiate with burial in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday after 9:30 A.M.
