WYOCENA – Trudy Weber, age 76, passed away with her daughter and son-in-law at her side on December 15, 2013, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born in Milwaukee and raised her family in Menomonee Falls. Trudy worked at Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Services for 25 years, first as a Nursing Assistant and then as Manager of Supply Services. Trudy enjoyed her work, especially her co-workers.
Trudy strived to make each occasion special, and derived great joy in finding the perfect gifts for others. She enjoyed taking trips to Florida and Las Vegas, old movies, and playing cards. Trudy loved dogs, and lavished affection on her family’s pets as if they were her own. She also loved music. Her favorites were Barbara Streisand, Elvis, and Neil Diamond. Her favorite song was “The Way We Were”, a sad irony for someone later stricken with Alzheimer’s.
Trudy’s daughter is thankful to the Aster Retirement Community and the Columbia Health Care Center for their wonderful care. Their hard work and compassion are appreciated more than they will ever know. Her daughter also thanks Columbus Community Hospital for their care during multiple ER visits and a hospital stay.
No formal services will be held, but Trudy’s life will be celebrated privately.
Her daughter requests that any memorials in Trudy’s honor be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7818 Big Sky Drive, Suite 109, Madison, WI 53719.
