Geneva Grimesey, 79, of Sextonville, died Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her home. She was born May 16, 1934 in Richland Center the daughter of Ora and Alba (Hall) Burns. On July 20, 1956 Geneva married Lloyd Grimesey. She was an avid bible reader until she was unable to see. Geneva taught Sunday School and served as a foster mother for many children. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and doing ceramics. Geneva loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Geneva is survived by six children: Nancy (Kenny) Bingham of Sextonville, Betty Kalland of Missouri, Lloyd, Jr. (Renee) Grimesey of DeForest, Joann (George Belche) McCauley of Richland Center, Robin (Kevin) Taylor of Tomah, Noreen (Duiane) Kalland of Richland Center; 16 grandchildren; 31 greats-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, grandson Kenny Bingham, four brothers, four sisters, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pine River Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
