DEFOREST- Frederick Louis Luick, age 87, of DeForest, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Pineview Living of Windsor.

He was born on April, 24, 1926, in Stetsonville, WI the son of Frederick and Martha (Kuczenski) Luick. He married Mary Ann Fess on May 12, 1956. Frederick graduated from UW Madison with a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked for American Family Insurance for over 30 years. Frederick was a member on the Boards of Planning and Zoning, Library, and Christ Lutheran Church in Deforest. Frederick was also an active member of the Lion’s Club. He built three homes for his family, enjoyed hunting out west, traveling, camping, wood carving, carpentry, and painting. Frederick also was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and spending time up north at the cabin that he built with his family.

Frederick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann; daughters, Kathryn (Terry) Hanneman, Karen (Chris) Evans, Sharon Luick and Kristen (Craig) Adler; and five grandchildren, Katelyn, Lucas, Sarah, Emily and Aimee. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Lorraine Larson and Arlys Bender.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at Noon on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, with Pastor Jerry Olson presiding. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
