MADISON - Florence Frances Disch, age 88, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2016 at St Mary's Hospital.

She was born on March 2, 1928 in Madison, Wisconsin to Peter and Esther (Vogel) Schreiber. Florence was member of the East High School Class of 1947. After high school graduation, Florence worked for the Telephone Co., Bordens and the Capital Times. She married Arthur Disch on November 7, 1947.

Florence was a homemaker and together with Arthur they raised their family in Middleton, Wisconsin. In her retirement years, Florence resided in Monona, on the east side of Madison and was most recently a resident of Oak Park Place. She enjoyed reading, gardening, working on family genealogy and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.

Florence is survived by her children, Nancy (Darwin) Thompson of Madison, John Disch (Mary Possin) of Monona, and Joe (Beth) Disch of DeForest; her grandchildren Kris Porter of Sun Prairie, Scott Thompson of Madison, Henry Disch of Minneapolis, Annie Disch of Milwaukee, Bryn Disch and Emily Disch of DeForest; and her great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Thompson of Madison. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sisters Alice Hanson and Catherine Schreiber, her brother Alvin Schreiber and her half-brother Edward Schreiber.

A private family service will be held.
