MADISON-Elizabeth “Betty” Jean Salverson, age 67, passed away suddenly from natural causes on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013.
Betty was born in Madison on Dec. 26, 1945, the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (LaBrosse) Alburn. She married Gary Salverson in May, 1992, in Madison. Betty graduated from Waunakee High School in 1964. She worked for more than 30 years at Meriter Hospital. Betty was a wonderful caregiver and always took care of her family.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Gary; daughters, Lisa (Josh) Johnson, Denise Johnson-Walterscheit, and Debbie (Brian) Nelson; stepsons, Thadeus (Rina) Salverson and Nathan (Michelle) Salverson; grandchildren, Christopher and Melissa Holmes, Brady Nelson, Dillon, Easton, Alex, and Logan Salverson, Ariana Luther, Preston and Nolan Dyer, and Evelyn Pope; great-grandchild, Alina Bolt; sister, Sandy (Armond) Moll; brother, Walter Alburn Jr. (Paul); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna; and granddaughter, Karina Walterscheit.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
