MIDDLETON-Dorothy Parisi, age 94, of Middleton, died Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Waunakee Manor Health Care Center. She was born on July 29, 1919 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Martha Baldygo Tracy, and raised in both Milwaukee and Edgerton. She graduated from Edgerton High School with the class of 1937.

On June 10, 1939, Dorothy and Sam Parisi were married at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Edgerton. In the mid-1940’s they moved to Middleton where Sam started Parisi Construction Company with Dorothy as the company secretary and bookkeeper. They had been married for 72 years at the time of Sam’s death on December 2, 2011.

Dorothy is survived by five children: Sandy (Arlo) Pape of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; John of Naples, Florida; Cindy Parisi (Dick Baker) of Waunakee; Tina Parisi of Madison; and Sam (Linda) Parisi Jr. of Middleton; 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Marcella Wileman of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, her parents, and daughter-in-law, Linda Licklider Parisi.
Visitation will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 7450 University Avenue, Middleton, from 3:00 to 5:00 on Monday, August 5, followed at 5:00 by a Mass of Christian Burial with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Burial will take place at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, followed by a light dinner in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Dorothy’s name may be made to Care Wisconsin, 2802 International Lane, Madison, WI 53708-0017.
