Donna L. White
Donna L. White, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at her home with her husband by her side.
She was born on Nov. 3, 1936, to Milton and Alice Smith. Donna was a 1954 graduate of East High School. She married the love of her life, Johnny White, on Sept. 21, 1957.
Donna enjoyed going to Ho Chunk, her card club, and shopping. She loved to travel with Johnny, especially to Las Vegas. Donna was an Elks Auxiliary member and participated in the charity fashion shows. She was a fan of Elvis and Reba McEntire.
In Donna’s younger years, she played catcher for Paisan’s Pizza fast pitch team. She was passionate about the Packers and was a longtime Madison Packer Backer. Donna attended Hall of Fame Packer dinners and luncheons with the Packer team. She worked at Great Lakes Higher Education for 17 years, and before that she worked at the VA Hospital.
Donna was sweet and kind. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Johnny; children, Lori Munson, Sandy White, and Michael White; granddaughter, Amber (Ryan) Boldt of McFarland; special nephew, Jerry (Jan) Smith of Madeline Island; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-laws and brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Wendell, Darrell, Russell, and Delores.
Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013. Private burial at a later date.
The family wishes to thank Dr. David L. Hei for his care of Donna and Amanda and Shannon.
