BELLEVILLE/OREGON-Donald Edward Rowe, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Heartsong Assisted Living in Belleville.
He was born on Oct. 1, 1920, in rural Oregon, one of 8 children to Edward and Emily (Chark) Rowe, and farmed on the family farm. Donald operated a can milk route and later worked in the parts department at Gunelson John Deere in Stoughton and then on to the Farmers Implement in Madison. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and being with his family. Don will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Don is survived by his sister, Emily (Roger) Krueger; sisters-in-law, Betty Rowe of California, Anita Rowe of Oregon, and Arlene Rowe of Stoughton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, William Rowe, Eileen Schnieder, Arthur Rowe, George Rowe, Gerald Rowe, and Waunetta Pollow.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013. Burial will be at Oak Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
