David A. Langowski

JANESVILLE--- David A. Langowski, age 71, left for heaven on November 26, 2016.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Josie, daughter, Stacy (Langowski) DiBenedetto, son, Mark Langowski, two wonderful grandchildren, Carina and Carston DiBenedetto, and two adoring cats, Kramer and Cosmo. He is also survived by his step-mother, Gladys Langowski, sister, Marilen Wegner, brothers-in-law, David Wegner and Jim Costabile, son-in-law, Frank DiBenedetto, nieces Stefanie McDaniel, Ann Lefort, and nephew, Brad Wegner. He was preceded in death by his father, Lenny Langowski, and his mother, Marie Novak.

ave retired from UPS after 28 years. But his real career was only just beginning. His passion for golf led him to create his own custom golf club fitting and repair business, Custom Fit Golf, running his business from his 'shop' in the garage. He quickly became one of the most respected and reliable club fitters in the area. He then continued to share his love of golf as an assistant golf coach at Craig for a number of years. He also worked at The Masters golf tournanent, managing wild spectators and providing additional security.

Dave was also an usher at St. John Vianney parish on Saturday evenings. He ushered with a great group of gentlemen. Dave's other hobbies included gardening, house projects, Packer football, and decorating for the holidays. His elaborate Christmas light displays often wound up on the must-see list in Janesville.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. But he will be loved and remembered as a caring, selfless man that loved his family more than anything, always putting their needs before his.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Friends may call on Thursday from 10am until the time of mass at St. John Vianney.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Agrace Hospice. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
