Carmella K. Cooper, age 67, of Janesville, died on Monday, April 21, 2014, at home. She was born in Columbus, OH on Nov. 3, 1946, the daughter of Paul and Ruby (McWhorter) Rose. She attended Lake Geneva Badger High School, and married John E. Cooper on Feb. 22, 1964, in North Lima Presbyterian Church. Carmella had been employed by Daniels Sentry for 12 years. She enjoyed going to auctions, casinos (especially Las Vegas), playing cards, doing puzzles, and most of all she loved being a grandma.
She is survived by her husband, John Cooper; 4 children: Brenda (Robert) Risseeuw of Beloit, John (Mary Ann) Cooper of Janesville, Charles (Tonya) Cooper of Janesville and James Cooper of Ft. Wayne, IN; 8 grandchildren: Michael, Melinda, Anthony, Paul, Austin, Joseph, Anna and Nicholas; sister, Judy (Thomas) Mann, Sr. of Janesville; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Cooper of Fort Atkinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Walter Cooper.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Pastor Jamie Swanson officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
