Bruce Randall Hohenstein, age 57, of Janesville, passed to his heavenly home on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He fought violently against the cancer that finally took him home. Bruce was born in Janesville, on Dec. 22, 1958, the son of Arthur L. and Ramona F. (Randall) Hohenstein. He lived his entire life in Janesville, graduating from Parker High School. He worked for many years installing garage hydraulics in Farm & Fleet garages. After a disastrous motorcycle accident in 1988 he worked for 23 years at SSI Technologies. During his entire life Bruce helped anyone who asked him, and was always concerned with making people happy. He took the most pleasure in his home, his step children and his grandchildren, his beloved partner of 24 years, Pamela McKeown and his dogs. Bruce was a driven workaholic, a jack of all trades who literally kept his family going. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him
Bruce is survived by his partner, Pam McKeown; step children: Tammy (John) Lewis, Raena (Jason) Debereiner, Doug (Heather) McKeown and Sherri (Jeff) Straw; his much beloved grandchildren: Elaina, Dawson, Dillon and Brodey; mother, Ramona Hohenstein; brother, Michael (Kate) Hohenstein; and his sister, Beth (Tim) Wegener. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Hohenstein: and grandmothers, Violet Randall and Ruby Hohenstein.
