Brianna Walczak

Brianna was born August 10, 1987, in Janesville, WI. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 2005 and Edgewood College School of Nursing in 2012. She was currently employed at St. Mary's in the Medical ICU, doing what she loved. She was a beautiful, passionate young woman who loved helping people and dedicated her life to making others' lives better. Brianna developed an early love of dancing, gymnastics, and gardening (with help from her grandpas).

She is survived by her father and mother, David and Anita Walczak (Phillips), sister Jacki Young Walczak (Matthew), brother Todd Walczak, paternal grandparents Charles and Ruth Walczak, maternal grandparents Arthur and Helen Phillips, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, friends, and her beloved dog, Sophie.

Brianna was a leader who always spoke her mind; charismatic, intelligent, sharp, witty, irreverent, and hilarious. She was always unassuming; people could be themselves in her presence. As a professional she was a fierce defender of others and brought peace to those who were suffering.

Breezy would elevate you, either with uncompromising compassion or with an unexpected blast of ridiculous humor. We are forever lifted up by her spirit.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.
