Beverly Wallace

Beverly Jean Wallace, 83, of West Lima, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Bethel Home in Viroqua. She was born April 24, 1929 the daughter of Carl and Inez (Rogers) Achenbach in Boscobel, WI. On August 2, 1948 she married Robert E. Wallace in Boscobel. Beverly and Robert were lifelong farmers in Cherry Valley. Beverly was a member of the Richland County Homemakers and served as a tour organizer for the Homemakers. She was a member of the LaFarge United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Church Council, United Methodist Mission Team, and a teacher of Sunday School. Beverly was a volunteer worker and donor at the Bloodmobile. She was very active and involved in Kickapoo youth events including being part of the Grandparent Reading Program, a school bus driver for the Kickapoo School District, and attending many sporting and extracurricular activities. Beverly was a 4-H leader for over 50 years and served on the Fair Improvement Committee. She received an award for her serve from the State Fair Award.

Beverly is survived by three children: Carl (Jennifer) Wallace of West Salem, Earl (Betty) Wallace of West Lima, Clara (Taylor) Johnson of Cashton, 8 grandchildren: Elonda (Ande) Wallace-Harris of Marion, IL, Joshua (Sarah) Wallace of Stevens Point, Amanda Johnson of Seattle, WA, Renee Johnson (fiancé Andrew Hesky) of Kirkland, WA, Isaac (Nicollette) Wallace of Madison, Aaron (Sarah) Wallace of West Lima, Pearl Wallace of West Lima, Emily (Christopher) Shelton of West Lima, 4 great-grandchildren: Isabela and Axel Harris and Aaliyah and Ember Wallace, brothers: Jerry (Patti) Achenbach, Edward (Belle Ann) Achenbach, Robert Achenbach, Dennis (Marilyn) Achenbach, sisters: Anne (Robert) Walker, Mabelle (Lyle) Turner, Thelma (Gerald) Jones, Kathy (Don) Boatman, Barb (Mike) Collins, Jeanette Nauert, aunt: Dorothy Dale, brothers-in-law: Richard Hegensick, Ted Hall, sisters-in-law: Vivian Achenbach, Sally Achenbach, Reta (Russell) Kramer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter Edna, husband Robert, and her parents Carl and Inez (Rogers) Achenbach, brothers: Carl (Gene) Achenbach, Donald Achenbach, Richard Achenbach, Patrick Achenbach, sisters: Madeline Hagensick and Peggy Hall.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 2:30 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center with Pastor Barbara S. Miller and Bonita Dorscheid will officiate. Burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Seland-Huston Funeral Home in La Farge on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at 2:30 PM. The family suggests memorials in Beverly's name be given to: Shriners Hospital in Minneapolis, LaFarge Rescue Squad, LaFarge United Methodist Women, or Special Olympics.
