Betty J. Spoerle, 82, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI.

Services will be at 11am on Friday, March 21st at United Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI with Rev. Dan Verdegan officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Friends may call on Thursday, March 20th from 3pm-7pm at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Friday, March 21st from 10am until time of services at the church.

Betty was born on August 25, 1931 to Delbert & Floretta (Robbins) Farrey in New Diggings, WI. She attended school in New Diggings. She married Ernest “Bud” Spoerle on June 30, 1950 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Cuba City, WI. She was a waitress at area restaurants and night clubs. Betty enjoyed garage sales, baking, baseball games, especially the kids and grandkids, was an avid White Sox fan, loved to visit with family and friends and had a great sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her children: Linda (Keith) Brake of Montezuma, IA and Rick (Kathy) Spoerle of Cuba City, WI; 4 grandchildren: Eric (Anna) Spoerle of Cuba City, WI, Christopher (Val) Spoerle of Epworth, IA , Jackie (Josh) Norem of Janesville, WI and Amber (Brake) McDowell of Des Moines, IA; 4 great grandchildren: Nicholas Spoerle, Klohie Spoerle, A.J. Norem and a baby boy on the way in July, along with nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ernest “Bud” (June 30, 1999), 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

In lieu of flowers a Betty J. Spoerle Memorial Fund has been established.
