Barbara Annette Manley Rynes

Barbara Annette Manley Rynes, 68, of Richland Center, died, Thursday, September 26, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 19, 1944 in Aurora, Illinois the daughter of Albert and Doris (Fogo) Rogers. Barb graduated from Weston High School in 1962. On December 1, 1962 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Rynes. Barb worked at Piggly Wiggly and in 1976 started at Rockwell Automation where she remained until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was very involved in Hilltoppers Color Guard for 13 years. Through Barb’s suggestion the Richland Hospital was inspired to add the Kraemer Community Care Center to their facility. In the first year of GRACE she served as the Co-Ambassador. Barb enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards, gardening, her flower gardens, and spending time with friends and family especially her grandchildren.

Barb is survived by her husband, Kenneth James Rynes, Sr.; five children: Kenneth (Ann) Rynes Jr. of Richland Center, Michael (Monica) Rynes of Richland Center, Darcey (Don) Varese of Oregon, Tammy (James) West of Cazenovia, Deanna (Dennis) DiCarlantonio of Madison; Thirteen grandchildren: Brittany (Adam) Niemeyer, Celia Rynes, Dalton Spencer, Cole Miller, Adam, Abigail, and Elise Rynes, Nathan and Nicole Varese, John and Bradley West, Isabella and Sirio DiCarlantonio; one great-grandchild on the way; brother, Albert Rogers; nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Doris Rogers, siblings Judy Porten, Blaine ‘Butch’ Manley, Stephen Manley, Patricia Fish, Diane Coy, Kathy Manley, and Michael Manley.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel with Ron Fruit officiating. Burial will follow in the Czech National Cemetery in Yuba. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM where an American Legion Auxiliary Service will be held at 7:00 PM. Friends may also call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. Barb requested memorials in her name be directed to the Richland County Veteran Memorial, PO Box 104, Richland Center, WI 53581.
