MADISON/MCFARLAND -

Anthony C. Littel, age 85, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013.

He was born on June 19, 1928, in Madison, the son of Anton and Olive (Kalscheur) Littel. On May 28, 1949, Tony was united in marriage with Beatrice Brandon at St. James Catholic Church. After serving in the U.S. Army, he graduated from Madison Business College. Tony retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1983 and was co-owner of Electric Motors Unlimited, Inc.

Retirement left him time with his wife, sharing trips to casinos, card clubs, bowling, taking vacations, and family gatherings. Tony was a charter member of St. Dennis Catholic Church. Tony’s motto in life- Live life to the fullest, including his 3 B’s: Brandy, Beer and Bea, and not necessarily in that order.

He is survived by his lovely wife of 64 years, Beatrice Elaine; children, Toni Hutter of McFarland, Jane (Dan) Schuller of Tomahawk, Kathy (Mike) Kopf of Oshkosh, Linda (Greg) Crull of Albany, Jim (Kristin) Littel of Madison, Patti (Jim) Pasell of Sun Prairie and Tim (Debbie) Littel of Minooka, Ill.; grandchildren, Sarah (Dave) Saul, Chad Hutter, Nissa Schuller, Dara (Bjorn) Schuller-Hanson, Ally Kopf, Kari Kopf, Matt Littel, Kevin Littel and Jenny Littel; five great-grandchildren, Hayden, Forrest, Cooper, Finn and Alivia; brother, Russ (Bunny) Littel; sister-in-law, Joan Littel; and many nieces, nephews, other special relatives and friends. Tony surrounded himself with truly great friends, which we were all blessed to have known.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Delbert; and a son-in-law, Robert Hutter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, with Father Joji Reddy Allam and Deacon David Hendrickson concelebrating.

Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 pm. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013.

Service:
