When she first moved to Madison she was employed by Montgomery Ward from 1952 to 1960. In 1960 she was employed by H.S. Manchester Inc., retiring in 1981 as their personnel director. Growing up Anne enjoyed big band music and dancing. She and Richard were active UW Badger sport fans, going to many home and away football games together.
