MADISON – Anna Mae (Helsell) Peat, age 80, passed away at Agrace Hospice Center, Fitchburg, on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. She was born on January 14, 1933 in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Kenneth A. and Alfa (Cook) Helsell. Ann’s passions in life were spending time with her family, country music, traveling and her plants and flowers.
Survivors include her children: Judy (Stan) Lamont of Spring Green, Daniel Peat of Janesville, Timothy (Kathy) Peat of Madison, Dale (Kim) Peat of Portage, Gary Peat (special friend Paula) of DeForest, Cindy (Mike) Olson of Spring Green, Shirley (Kevin) Peterson of Madison, Lynn Blackley (special friend Mindy Jefferson). Anna has 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grand children. Five siblings, Janice (Junior) Hicks of Richland Center, Doris (Arnold) Peterson of Hillsboro, Linda (Lavern) Ryman of Wonewoc, Marge Jean Thompson of Richland Center, Donna (Thomas) Carlson of Richland; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Becky Peat; daughter-in-law, Brenda Peat; and siblings and sisters-in-law, Raymond (Jean) Helsell, Carolyn Deal, Duane (Sandy) Helsell, Richard Helsell, and Eva Peckham.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Richland Center City Cemetery.
