Linden - Alice Baker Faull, age 91, of Linden, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016.

She was born to George W. and Jennie E. (Chatt) Baker on October 19, 1924 in Little Falls Township, Monroe County, Wisconsin.

On June 7, 1947 she married Tyrus R. (Bud) Faull at the Methodist Church in Linden, WI with Dalen and Geraldine (Faull) Rickard by their side. Together Alice and Bud decided to keep Linden their home. They ran the mercantile/grocery store for over 40 years and in 1961 added Linden Milling. Bud was known as the fix it man and Alice was known as the candy lady at the Linden Store. They had a good life together making Linden a nice village to live in.

Alice was a member of the Linden Legion Auxiliary, United Methodist Church Women; she was the treasurer for both for many years as well as a member of the Linden Homemakers. Her second career took her to Lands’ End to the Quality Assurance and Gift Wrapping Depts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrus on October 30, 1989; her parents, her brothers Clarence, Royal, Robert, Lester, Harley Baker; her sisters Bessie Hobson, Ruby McKillip and a baby sister Shirley Baker; in-laws Glenmore (Babe) and Hilda (Beerkircker) Faull.

She is survived by her 6 children, David (Glenda) of Montfort, Douglas (Melody), Daniel (Jill), D. George (Bobbi), Dirk Faull all of Linden and Denine (Don) Dochnahl of Dodgeville. Twelve grandchildren: Cole and Eric Faull; Tabatha and Kyle Faull; Nicole, Mackenzie, and Georgie Faull; Jacob and Isaac Faull; Darlene, Doreen, and Diana Dochnahl; and brothers-in-law Donald McKillip and Thomas (Joan) Faull and a sister-in-law Betty Baker as well as many nephews and nieces.

Mom will be missed. She kept us six knot-heads in-line, gave each of us a strong work ethic, and compassion for people. We will miss her cookies, cakes, seedie buns and, especially, the ‘little’ eggs, Captain Crunch, and cranberry juice.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at LINDEN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. Rev. Gerhardt Miller will officiate. Burial will be held in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville and from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the church.
