AC Lindley, age 90, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Agrace Hospice in Madison. He was born in Red Bay, Alabama, March 21, 1923 to the late William Wallace and Ruthie Mae (Garrison) Lindley. AC enlisted in the United States Navy and served several tours in the South Pacific, during World War 2. He married Johnnie Mae Pharr on June 1, 1946. AC and Johnnie moved to Wisconsin in the early 1950's and founded a drywall company, AC Lindley and Son's, he retired in 1999. He was an active member of the Midvale Baptist church in Madison and had served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. His greatest joy was spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Johnnie; son, David (Ann ) Lindley, New Castle, Indiana, and their children; Scott (Samantha), Chad (Jenny), Steven (Koren); son, Joseph (Linda) Lindley, Black Earth, their child, Ryan (Emily); son, Jimmie (Nancy) Lindley, Black Earth, their children; Brandon (Chelse Hintz), Nathan (Shanelle Hill), daughter, Sandy (Barry) Behringer, Mazomanie and their children; Casey (Shannon), and Jessica (Brian) Greffin; 15 great grandchildren; a brother, Hoyt and many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; 3 brothers, Donnie, Kermit, and Willie. A funeral service will be held at Midvale Baptist Church, 821 S. Midvale Blvd, Madison at 10:30 am, on Saturday, June 22, 2013. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Black Earth. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Hwy 14 West, Mazomanie from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and one hour prior to the service at the church.
