JANESVILLE ---Wayne "Red" F. Richardson, age 77, of Janesville, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at home. He was born in Janesville, on Sept. 10, 1935, the son of Elver and Berneta (Woletz) Richardson. He graduated from Janesville High School and served in the U.S. Army for 2 years in the early 1950's. Red had been a Janesville resident all of his life. He married Carol Jean Coulter in Janesville on Aug. 6, 1960, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 1999. He had been employed by H.P. Goodall for 27 years, and retired from General Motors in 1998. A man of many interests, hobbies, and talents with an easy gift for the gab. Red touched so many lives with a smile and a laugh or an offer to help.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Michele Richardson of Janesville and Lee Schneider of Oregon, WI; step son, Bruce St. Clair of Janesville; 2 grandchildren, Andrew Schneider of Madison and John St. Clair of Florida; 2 brothers, Bernard (Judy) Richardson and John Richardson both of Janesville; 2 sisters, Marlene Spring of Lindenwood, IL and Kathy Wood of Ullin, IL; special life long friend, Patrick Duncan MacDonald of Janesville; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Chaplain Ruth Kolpack officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. Lasting memorials may be made to Beloit Regional Hospice.
