Viola Grorich, age 90 of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship.

Viola was born March 10, 1923 in Necedah, Wisconsin the daughter of Emil and Ethel (Morey) Baumgart. In October of 1945 she married Alvin Grorich in Necedah. He preceded her in death in December of 1997. Viola kept busy with raising 10 children. She enjoyed gardening and tending her strawberry beds and she was handy with woodworking. She made and sold many birdhouses and yard silhouettes including cows, squirrels and people bending over which are still present around the countryside. Viola also loved to spoil her grand and great grandchildren.
Viola is survived by her sons, Alvin, Jr. (Gloria) of Pittsville, WI, Roger (Nola) of Adams, WI and Roy of Stevens Point, WI; daughters, Joyce Hoilen of Reedsburg, WI, Doris (Joe) Frebette of Pittsville, Judy (John) Forester of Big Flats, WI, April Grorich of Phoenix, AZ and Nancy Grorich of Arkdale, WI; 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters.
