Terry D. Engelke, 49, of Platteville died on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville, of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville. Rev. Jeff Pedersen will officiate. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville, at a later date. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Terry D. Terry was born on February 23, 1963 in Platteville, the son of Donald and Verla (Appenzeller) Engelke. He graduated from Platteville High School in 1981. Terry was united in marriage on May 25, 1991 to Evelyn Faust at the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville. Terry worked as a dairy farmer for many farms in the area. He loved to be with his daughter, Laura; play cards and games; listen to the radio, helping people out whenever he could and being with his cat “Princess”. Terry enjoyed hunting as a young man. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura (Brandon Steiner) Engelke of Platteville; parents, Don and Verla Engelke of Platteville; sister, Chris (Craig) Nodorft of Fennimore, WI; niece, Cassie (TJ) Vavricka of Montfort, WI; nephew, Curt (Karen Young) Nodorft of Fennimore; two great-nieces, Haylee and Alexis Vavricka; great-nephew, Jayden Vavricka; uncle, Earl (Jolene) Appenzeller of Platteville; father-in-law, Robert Faust of Platteville; many wonderful friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, grandparents, Jim and Myrtle Appenzeller, Wilbur and Rosie Engelke, aunts, Velma Engelke and Mary Lou Appenzeller, mother-in-law, Minnetta Faust.
