Madison - Suzanne “Suzi” Roth Galloway passed away at the age of 61 on Monday, September 24, 2012 at home in Madison, Wisconsin. She was born on July 7, 1951 in Madison, the daughter of Thomas and Joan (Mayfield) Roth.

Suzi grew up in Madison and attended Edgewood High School. She graduated college from the University of Miami with a degree in graphic art. She returned to Madison and married Rodger, her college sweetheart, on October 6, 1973. Suzi began her career with Felly’s Flowers, creating commercial illustrations. While raising two boys, Suzi needed a distraction from mud and trucks, so she took an opportunity at Pleasant Company as a correspondent, replying to letters written by young doll owners.

From hand-crafting Halloween costumes to creating unique doodles on every lunch bag Suzi always put an extra loving, and creative, touch on everything she did for her sons. Suzi also enjoyed drawing, painting, decorating, and crafting handmade cards. She and Rodger frequently traveled to more offbeat locations in the Caribbean where they enjoyed interacting with the local people and taking in the laid back lifestyle.

Suzi is survived by her husband Rodger of 39 years, son Kyle and his wife Rachel of Greenville, with grandchildren Carter and Anna; son Ryan of Madison; mother Joan Roth of Poynette; sisters Carol (Ron) Redell and Ellen (Kurt) Fullmer; brothers Mark and Paul (Nancy) Roth; mother-in-law Doris Galloway; brother-in-law William (Ellen) Galloway; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Roth and father-in-law, Daniel Galloway.

An artistic eye to the funky and bold; with family and friends young and old. Joyous and fantastic stories told; now in the kingdom of white and gold.

Services will be held at JOYCE-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 5810 Odana Road, Madison, on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 pm.
