Shirley (Wiese) Reinke, age 76, of Rio, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at her daughter, Lori's house in Monona. She was born on Oct. 31, 1940, in Madison, the daughter of Hugh and Florence (Peterson) Wiese. She married Kenneth Ring in April, 1959 and Joe Reinke in January, 2001. Shirley loved to fish and hunt turkey and deer. She also enjoyed dressing up and going out to dances. Shirley was a talented artist. She and Joe spent winters in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and treasuredthe friendships they made there. Shirley cherished all of her 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and was a special friend to her nieces and nephews. Shirley worked at ABC Shirt Lettering and the Wisconsin Department of Justice. She loved her summer job at Johnson Sausage Shoppe in Rio. Shirley is survived by her husband, Joe; daughter, Lori Ring Barr; son, Ron (Julie) Ring; sister, Beverly (Terry) Reynolds; and step-daughters, Jeni (Rick) Callihan and Teresa (John) Rohrer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Ring; son, Daniel Ring; great-granddaughter, Samantha; special son-in-law, Steve Barr; and two sisters, Marilynn Stenjem and Colene Hodges. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 12 noon, on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday. We will miss you always "Super Woman". Mom, you did get to do your dream cruise.
