Sandra L. Mester, 54, of Belmont, died on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at her home of an apparent heart attack while sleeping.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Truman, Wisconsin. Rev. Monte Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Melby-Bendorf Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, where there will be a parish scripture wake service at 3:45 p.m., friends may also call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Saturday. She was born on February 1, 1958 in Darlington, WI, the daughter of Lawrence “Larry” and Marjorie (Baxter) Doyle. She graduated from Belmont High School in 1976. She worked as University Service Associate for University of Wisconsin Platteville School of Agriculture for many years. She enjoyed following her children in their sports, being a true sports enthusiast. She also enjoyed cooking and scrapbooking. She is survived by three sons, Jeff (Orla) Mester of Phoenix, AZ; Eric Mester of Belmont; Travis Mester of Menomonee, WI; two grandchildren, Lauren and Benjamin Mester; sisters, Susan (Jim) Riege of Platteville; Sara (Jerome) Gassman-Randall of Platteville; Teresa (Troy) Pittz of Mineral Point, WI; brothers, Tom Doyle of Mineral Point; Tim (Linda) Doyle of Lodi, WI; and Jim Doyle of Mineral Point. She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry on July 29, 2002 and mother Marjorie on February 2, 2006; brother, Ronald in 1959; brother-in-law, Wayne Gassman in 1987; and her sons’ father, Wayne Mester in 2002.
