Rosa V. Weida, 86, of Richland Center died Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Richland Hospital. She was born September 5, 1926 in Rome, Italy the daughter of Alfredo and Alma (Milazzo) Curiono. In 1945 at the age of 19 Rosa married Raymond D. Dieter and the couple returned to the United States after the war. She became a US Citizen in 1954. Rosa worked at the Richland Hospital in the Laundry and later in the Therapy Department. In August of 1975 she married Jimmy Weida and he preceded her in death in 2009. She loved to garden, sew, and even made the costumes for the UW Richland Plays. Rosa sold pizzas out of her home to many people including the bowling alley. Rosa enjoyed playing cards and board games. She loved to spend time with her family.
Rosa is survived by three children, Jim Dieter of Milwaukee, Russell (Beth Lange) Dieter of Richland Center, Rita (Terry) Mulholland of Richland Center, seven grandchildren; Tanya Carley, Desiree Mulholland, Crystal (Spencer) Fox, Danielle Dieter, Kris Dieter, Justin Hatcher, and Jacob Hatcher, several great-grandchildren, many other relatives, and friends.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy, and son Raymond Dieter, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Monsignor Roger Scheckel and Reverend Craig Peach will officiate. Burial will follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
