CAMBRIDGE-Robert “Bob” Hill, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

He was born on Nov. 19, 1937, in Edgerton, the son of Frank and Gladys (Edwardson) Hill. Bob graduated from Stoughton High School in 1955 and from the UW-Madison Agriculture Short Course. He was united in marriage to Marletta Anderson on Dec. 14, 1957. Bob worked for FP&T Construction as a heavy equipment operator until 1984, when he started Hills Landscaping in Cambridge. Bob was a charter member of the Cambridge Lions Club, receiving the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, a member of Rockdale White Nites Snowmobile Club, former President of Dane County Council of Snowmobile Clubs, a member of the Cambridge Pottery Festival committee, and the driving force behind the Cambridge fish ponds. Bob was also the drummer for the Ole Gjerald Band.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marletta; daughters, Wendy Brabender, Natalie (Mark) Howard and Peggy (Jacob) Klingbeil; son, Bill Hill; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Emery and Darlene Cornell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at WILLERUP UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 415 W. Water St., Cambridge, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013, with Pastor Brian Cook presiding. Burial will be at Rockdale Cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy. 51, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Visitation will be at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy. 51, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Service:
Funeral services will be held at WILLERUP UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 415 W. Water St., Cambridge, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013, with Pastor Brian Cook presiding.

Cemetery:
Burial will be at Rockdale Cemetery.
