Raymond Andrew Kroll of N. Chicago, IL, formerly of Mineral Point, passed away October 13, 2016, at age 78 with family at his side.
Ray was born October 22, 1937 in Highland, WI to Andrew & Gladys (Pierick) Kroll as the youngest of four. Raised in Mineral Point, Ray enjoyed fast cars & graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1955. After Army & Reserves 1955-58, Ray earned his engineering degree from UW Madison and landed a dream job at Outboard Marine Corp. Ray loved canoeing & fishing and felt most at peace with loved ones in the outdoors.
Ray is survived by five kids and thirteen grandkids: Todd (Judy) Kroll of Winnetka, IL and their sons Tyler & Collin; Jeff Kroll of Frankfort, IL and his kids Caleb & Cassidy, Brittany & Tiffany Collins; Susan Kroll of Washington D.C.; Kristin Hasper of Hudsonville, MI and her kids Jessica, Jonathan, & Charissa; Peter (Lori) Kroll of Alanson, MI and their kids Rachel, Isaac, Josh, & Jeremy. Ray is also survived by his brother John "Jack" Kroll and his former spouse Patricia Hough. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters - Donna & Shirley.
Visitation will begin at Noon on Tuesday, Oct. 18, with the Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M., both at Lulloff-Peterson-Houck funeral home in Dodgeville. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Gifts may be given to the James Lovell VA Medical Center, 3001 Green Bay Rd, North Chicago, IL 60064 in honor of the in-depth care provided to Ray over two decades.
