Raydean Knuth, age 82, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at home. He was born in Sauk County on July 27, 1930 to Albert and Emma (Kruse) Knuth. He married LaVonne Frommung of Prairie du Sac on June 30, 1956 in Leland, WI. In his younger years he loved snowmobiling and was also an avid camper. He enjoyed playing solitare several times a day.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, LaVonne; two daughters, Katherine Knuth of South Milwaukee and Susan (Larry) Hitchcock of Prairie du Sac; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jennipher) Neduzak of Milwaukee, Rebecca Hitchcock (Christian Gieck) of Sauk City and Craig (Kristina) Hitchcock of Baraboo; four great-grandchildren, Jade, Shane, Zander and Malania; a brother, Ivan (Eleanore) Knuth; two sisters-in-law, Mary Frommung and Jean Knuth. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilmer, Adelmer and Leon; sister, Evelyn; sisters-in-law, Esther and Emma; and brothers-in-law, Norman Wollschlager and Donald Frommung. Funeral services will be held at ST. JOHN EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Prairie du Sac, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012 with Pastor Fred Rilling officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Friends may call at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, and also on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
