JANESVILLE-Paul E. Johnson, age 54, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 . He was born to the pride of Donald and Margaret (Lemery) Johnson on April 18, 1958, in Rockford, IL. Paul graduated with Harlem High School‘s class of 1976, and went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute Of Technology in 1980. For the past 21 years, Paul worked as an electrical engineer for the Wisconsin Department of Administration in Madison ,WI. His great passions were music and cats, especially the Rag Doll breed. As a dedicated NASCAR fan, Paul attended the Daytona 500 faithfully for many years.
Paul leaves behind his three feline children, who were his sunshine on a cloudy day; his mother, Margaret of Beloit; nephew, Mark ( Heather Williams) of Roscoe, Ill.; and great-nieces and great-nephews in- law, Autumn, Alanna and Zachary Arnold , who Paul greatly adored ; special cousin, Alysse; and several other family members. He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Lynette Johnson; beloved feline, “Elvis”; and his best friend since childhood, Mark Torres.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes, no services will be held. The family kindly asks that in honor of Paul’s loving memory and his love for the feline world, a donation to the cat rescue or shelter of your choice be made .
