Organ Donor MADISON-Patricia Ann Grant, age 54, died Friday, December 7, 2012, at University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison. Mrs. Grant was born in Stamford, Conn., on February 4, 1958. She was the daughter of Charles and Patricia (Shaw) Pepper. She grew up in Stamford and graduated from J.M. Wright Technical High School, class of 1976. She married Tony Grant on July 8, 1978.
Patti remained a New Englander at heart despite spending 10 years in Weston, Fla., and living most recently in Madison.
Patti worked at various companies throughout her professional life, many years in the banking industry as a teller, followed by bookkeeping at Enchanted Forest Daycare, Black Diamond Trucking, and finally at Technology Revealed in Milford, Conn.
Patti possessed a strong-willed character that affected every aspect of her life. She was profoundly selfless. A tireless woman, she exhibited a boundless energy in everything she did. Her many passions included interior decorating, organizing, bookkeeping, fitness, and above all, a strong devotion to family, friends, and her community. She adored her Tolland Retriever, Rusty, loved attending plays with her husband.
Surviving is her husband of 34 years, Tony Grant, and their son, TJ Grant of Los Angeles, Calif., and daughter, Shannon (Mark Rode) Grant, of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, James (Kathleen) Pepper, of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Keith (Vanessa) Pepper, of Stratford, Conn.; two sisters, Eileen (Rudy) Barcello, of Monroe, Conn., and Lynne (Herman) Naring, of Norwalk, Conn. Several nieces; nephews; and cousins also survive her.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, Charles James Pepper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at ST. ANDREW CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 N. Main St., Verona, with Fr. William Vernon presiding. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, VERONA CHAPEL, 220 Enterprise Drive.
