Michael L. Frisch
Madison-Michael L. Frisch, age 61, passed away at the Golden Living Center, in Wisconsin Dells, on Saturday January 19, 2013, with his sister Terri Frisch and her daughter Melissa Childress at his side, after suffering from COPD for several years.
He was born on May 11, 1951 in Madison, son of the late Leo and Catherine Frisch. He worked as a mechanic at Meier Truck for many years and more recently at Madison Newspapers until becoming disabled. Mike led a difficult life as a homeless individual and struggled with alcoholism for many, many years. Even with his many problems in life, Mike could be a very kind individual and was known by many as a very nice guy.
Mike is survived by his brother Pat (Colleen) Frisch, sisters Peggy (David) Plumer, and Terri Frisch (Wylie); nephews Eric (Allison) Plumer, Bradley Plumer, Kevin Frisch; nieces Kelly (Jason) Loy, Angela (Mark) Hanson, Karly Frisch, Melissa Childress, Kari Childress, and several great nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Lung Association of Wisconsin.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at University Hospital, Hospice, and the Golden Living Center. An exceptionally sincere thank you goes to Dr. Ojomo, who Mike highly respected and trusted.
Mike, we are relieved that you can rest in peace now and will not have to experience any more suffering and pain.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at JOYCE-RYAN FUNERAL HOME at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
